LEGO Games now available from LEGOshop.com in the USA Posted by Huw , 01 Mar 2010 11:43
It's true to say that some are better than others but they were all well received in Europe and are very good value for money. Read the reviews dress barn locations here before you buy! My favourites, from a playability point of view, are Minotaurus and Magikus. Creationary is good, but make sure everyone playing at least knows what a LEGO brick is and can put them together, unlike when I played with Granny :-)
I saw just five games on the US lego.com. Maybe they haven't got them all added yet. Vintage Minifigure Collection Vol. 5 is the first one not to include dress barn locations a classic astronaut, but I did notice here on Brickset that the white astronaut is going to be made into a keychain.
When I've played Creationary, it's been better in a way when a person hasn't known what they're doing! As long as they're happy to be teased and take the mick out of their own creations, of course! 4 of us had hysterics one night when 2 of the people were really unsure about building!
Creationary is like Pictionary ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pictionary ) except that you have to build what's on the card. It's the only one that's suitable for a group of adults (AFOLs or non-AFOLs) to play: the rest are more aimed at younger kids.
Apparently 3842 Lunar Command won't be in the US as there was no sign of it at the NY toy fair... And TRU has the games on preorder as well. Yesterday for some reason (except Lunar Command) the rest were on there for preorder... (They're still there, its just that they're listed as out of stock.)
