A month after going to Prague again prepare the suitcase to go this time to Berlin. The German capital was a very desired destination, in fact the decision and buying tickets was before even thinking about the trip to Prague. This time I went with my friend Alberto. Before deciding I proposed rimark several options that were London, Paris, Rome, Brussels and Amsterdam. But the decision rimark was swift, Berlin attracted us both. My motivations for Berlin, basically 2: A hopeless attraction to Germany that comes from childhood and I have yet to find a logical reason and the other reasons the 2nd World War, a period of history that I love, and Berlin could see many things related to it. On August 2, date indicated in red on the calendar came fast. We had to get up early too because rimark the flight left at 14:00, so at 12 we planted at the airport of El Prat to all procedures in a relaxed way. And it was much more relaxed when flight delayed two hours ... Clickair and El Prat are a toxic combination. If the equation Clickair = almost every flight delay we add multiplier "El Prat, it sucks, just like that", the result can be explosive, especially for the patience and nerves of the passengers. Approximately at 16:00 came flying towards Berlin. With a brutal famine, rimark because it was fast (I can not eat before rimark getting on a plane because I get very tense and I can not get anything), turbulence, and the fat that I had really looked like a stove heat gave off, made the flight rimark out to forget. We came to Berlin - Tegel at approximately 19: 00h. And it was just inside the airport when the German capital began to dazzle me. Step off the plane entered a small room where there was a tape, which already began to leave our bags in our plane, without kicking mean terminal and no waiting, and it is best that the tape only came our bags, shared tape anything rimark other flights. Efficacy 100% German. This I have not seen in any other airport, really amazing how well they can get to work these Germans, just like El Prat go ... Outside rimark the airport, a taxi driver spoke Turkish origin with which we agreed a price to take us to hotel, which was 20 and did not bother to turn on the meter, which pissed me a little because I smelled that I wanted chulear money, even in the taxi back the last day, I realized that the Turk had been honored and was the approximate price of the race. I did not want to negotiate a fixed price, but wanted to know how much it cost about then do not want to cheat me and give me a detour to charge me more, as happens here in Barcelona with some taxi drivers and some foreigners, but the Turk who should bear the haggling and agree on prices in the blood, took it to the letter. The first impression upon arrival and that the driver stop the car was, "This is it? But if we're rimark in the ass in the world!" And indeed it was! But not as serious as initially thought. The hotel Alecsa Hotel am Olympiastadion is located between the district of Charlottenburg and Spandau, in a quiet, wooded residential area. The area is well to live, but not to stay as a tourist as it is a 30 minute rimark train ride from Alexanderplatz, rimark arguably the heart of East Berlin. That day we went out to not visit anything, was 8 pm and were starving, so we ate and enjoyed the couple of hours of sunlight left in the fantastic terrace of our room enjoying the lovely day it was and temperature more than nice.
Fri. is August rimark 3: The aim of the day was to visit the Museum Island (museums), so we took the S-Bahn station Pichelsberg, just 2 minutes walk from the hotel. We got off at Alexanderplatz, better known by Berliners as "Alex", this large square since its construction has been a communications hub in the city and has always had a lot of human activity. Along with Potsdamer Platz is the most famous squares in Berlin. The Second rimark World War partially destroyed, and since the early 60s is strewn with large and nondescript concrete blocks communists. There is an ongoing remodeling to give a facelift to this huge square, in 2007 when I was there, was covered with cranes and scaffolding, and he looked really horrible, now I do not know whether the works have been completed or are still in progress. The square is dominated by three very characteristic elements which have become a symbol of the city, especially the first one, the Grand Hotel Park Inn Alexanderplatz, a hotel with 37 floors and over 1,000 rooms, television tower,
